Elevated Corridor? Beda, Beda

Elevated Corridor : Beda, Beda, Beda....
It's look nice that we started realizing the importance of Earth. Atleast Bangaloreans do. We, Bangalorean, clean lakes, planted more & more trees, trying to protect other living creatures. We don't wait to see what authority is doing. We prefer to dirty our own hand to take care of Earth. Yesterday morning, I witnessed another protest to save "Garden City". By chanting " Beda, beda", several hundreds of people include kids, teens, adults and even elders and some of their different pets, gathered at the Gandhi Statue at Sheshadri Road to protest the government's 100km Elevated Corridor what is slated to flatten 120 trees in Cubbon Park and many others in the city.
The gathering was quite star-studded and got great media coverage too. Some of them said how they used to wear sweater throughout the year in the city in past years , but now we all are facing the heat badly. There was some posters like " How is every solution an elevated corridor?" , " No to Elevation, Yes to Revelation ", " Lend a hand, to save our Land" , " More trees, less greed", " Elevated Corridor, Beda Beda" etc. etc.
Here is my concern!! Why do we lend our hands and voices to prevent city's growth? City is facing huge traffic problem. To reach our destination in right time, we always need to takeout awefully extra hours in our hand. In this way, we are literally loosing few hours from our day-to-day life what we want spend with family and for our rest everyday.
Why don't we think rationally to save our Land? Instead of barring city's growth, we should protest against Builders, water & drainage Mafias. Unnecessary increasing Residential Complexes (skyscrapers, more dangerous concrete jungles) is actually major threatening part for the City. Neither the complexes harvest rain water, nor bother to axe the trees to shape their luxurious complexes. Surprisingly our taps are drying, but tankers are full with water to serve! We don't bother that city doesn't have proper drains, flyovers are not strengthen enough, traffic police are absconded during pick our , neither have proper checking to block heavy vehicles in traffic in weekdays, etc. etc.....
It will be better solution to serve earth if we will urge BBMP to force all the residential complexes to harvest rain water . We need to encourage our city folks to give little effort to plant the saplings wherever we see empty lands throughout the year. And most importantly need to imply one law against us that barred to buy multi-residential pads in the city. Need to impose penalty to stop our own greediness and laziness (lot of people buy multiple apartments in the city to rent, a easy income policy).
Yes, it's hightime to lend our hands to save earth.
