Durgatinashini, Mahishasurmardini : Maa Durga 🪷

Bengali Durga pujo is more to our emotions than spirituality! Yes, it's our biggest festival of West Bengal, India.  This year entire bengali society (worldwide) are celebrating with heavy heartedly as they are seeing violent,  heinous activities one after another for last few years. But from last November, they are observing all heinous activities reached to the educational institutions too! As, huge protests are on; they expected atleast one justice against Abhoya/ Tilottama.... with days passing by hopes are deeming off too!! Though Maa Durga is the epitome of triumph over malevolence; but we truly entered Kaliyuga's dark era.... we all are eagerly waiting for Lord Kalki. Let's hope for best.

Anyway,  today is Astami to Bengalis and my son and husband woke up in the early morning to worship Maa Durga and went to Bharat Sevasram for anjali. Though, I skip the early morning part and worship Maa later at home, but went with them to Bharat Sevasram,  Bangalore to have bhog in the afternoon. As bonus,  I met my dear friend Shruti and her family over there.

What is this Pubali? You can come for bhog, but couldn't come in the morning....lot of people were there ... Subho Astami
